About KTCHN

Katy uses her website KTCHN.com as an online portfolio for her photography work; both personal and commision. Having realised she was building a large body of work Katy needed somewhere to display her work digitally.

KTCHN and E-NOISE

After a recomendation from her flat mate, E-NOISE designed and built Katy's website using a custom Wordpress template as her previous website wasn’t user friendly.

"I’ve been with E-NOISE since the beginning of 2010 and chose them after a recommendation from my flatmate who is also hosting with E-NOISE. With my old site I had a hard time updating the contents by myself. With the website that E-NOISE designed and built for me, all the contents are managed by me and it’s easy to use as it is Wordpress (post and update! Done).

The making of the site was a simple process. I knew exactly what I wanted, especially knowing what wasn’t working on my former site. So meeting with the guys was brief, I gave them a breakdown of what I wanted and hoped for the best. What they gave me was what I wanted but much improved. I'm impressed with the different sections they've made for me under the 'onsite' and the 'elsewhere' categories. They've also added a live Twitter feed and subscription which is managed by the MailChimp app (also really easy to use and manage).

I have been recommending E-NOISE to my friends, because all of them are website illiterates like me. And these guys are easy going and we meet eye to eye like real people do. Yes, they are professional, but who said being professional had to be bland?"

The Future

"In the future I see my website being more interactive with my audience, for the time being it will stay as a folio website. Perhaps I will make the site mobile friendly in the future as more users surf the web using phones rather than their desktop computers. I'd like my site to be accessible to those audiences and make it a community where they can upload their own photos."
